Make a List of your Dreams

There are people who put their dreams in a little box and say, Yes, I’ve got dreams, of course I’ve got dreams. Then they put the box away and bring it out once in awhile to look in it, and yep, they’re still there. These are great dreams, but they never even get out of the box. It takes an uncommon amount of guts to put your dreams on the line, to hold them up and say, How good or how bad am I? That’s where courage comes in.  – by Erma Louise Bombeck

Let’s get you thinking on your life.

Make a list of dreams that you have and post them on here.

Add why you think you can achieve them or why you think you can’t.

Take the Opportunity Today: Write a List of Things You’re Good At

Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom. – by Aristotle

Take the opportunity today to write a list of things you are good at. The longer, the better!

Most of us find it easy to be critical of the things we think we can’t do when in actual fact there’s a ton of stuff that we do day in day out that we’re good at.

Today let’s remember all those things.

Make the list as long as you can.

Put it somewhere you can easily lay your hands on it and the next time you hear yourself (or anyone else) say you can’t do something read that list.

Keep the positive at the front of your mind, the negative you can work on.

 Cheers!

Take the Opportunity: Look into Someone’s Eyes

Photo of Randy Legaspi

By Stuart Young

Take the opportunity today to look into someone’s eyes for one minute
without touching or talking.

Think it’s easy?

Once you’ve stopped giggling and blinking, settle down to do it
seriously. The whole giggling thing is our defence from someone
getting too close. Allow them to get close because guess what – you’re
getting that close to them.

Be aware of your thoughts as you do this, notice if you are feeling
more or less connected to that person. Notice if that person seems
comfortable or awkward. Do you notice something different about them?
Does your mind start to wander?

You are only as vulnerable as the person you are sharing this with.
Having said that – you may find it really easy and enjoyable. I hope
you do.

If you do find this quite easy, try doing it for two minutes or three.

Light and Love: On Friendships

By Ria G. Rombaoa

Dear Alpha,

Now I’m trying to ask myself if I am a friend that is worth keeping? LOL

True friends are really hard to find that is why we call them treasures. I consider myself blessed to have these treasures even if most of the time my unavailability sucks and yes, oftentimes I don’t keep my promises.

One important lesson that I have learned recently has something to do with honesty and forgiveness. When something is wrong, we should let our friends know what we really feel regardless of how he or she will react to it. Ignoring and keeping things to ourselves is like closing a wound with all the infections in it. Telling the truth will never be easy but if friends have this strong bond of trust and love, they will be able to forgive each other and it will make the realtionship stronger than before….
