You can choose to think in ways that will support you in your happiness and success instead of ways that don’t. – by T. Harv Eker

By Alpha Miguel-Sanford

A few months ago my former classmate Israel D. Basilio told me in an email that there are only two books that he has really read from the beginning to end, and that I must read them as well. One of the books he highly recommended is the book written by T. Harv Eker’s Secrets of the Millionaire Mind. According to him it was really a life-changing book and “perhaps you may share it with your readers”.

Intrigued as I usually am, I put a hold through the online public library system on T. Harv Eker’s book and in a few days I was able to read it all! A few months have passed and I wanted to reread it, so instead of hopping back to the library I decided to go to the local bookstore and get myself a copy of it! Surprisingly, on the very first page is the signature of T. Harv Eker (live signature and not stamped version!), which made me want to do the next step, which is to share with you the wealth files of this book!

As the title implies, these wealth files are the secrets why millionaires are who they are, millionaires – and I would like to share them with you:

Wealth File #1: Rich people believe, “I create my life.” Poor people believe “Life happens to me.”

Wealth File #2: Rich people play the money game to win. Poor people play the money game to not lose.

Wealth File #3: Rich people are committed to being rich. People want to be rich.

Wealth File #4: Rich people think big. Poor people think small.

Wealth File #5: Rich people focus on opportunities. Poor people focus on obstacles.

Wealth File #6: Rich people admire other rich and succesful people. Poor people resent rich and successful people.

Wealth File #7: Rich people associate with positive, successful people. Poor people associate with negative or unsuccessful people.

Wealth File #8: Rich people are willing to promote themselves and their value. Poor people think negatively about selling and promotion.

Wealth File #9: Rich people are bigger than their problem. Poor people are smaller than their problems.

Wealth File #10: Rich people are excellent receivers. Poor people are poor receivers.

Wealth File #11: Rich people choose to get paid based on results. Poor people choose to get paid based on time.

Wealth File #12: Rich people think “both.” Poor people think “either/or.”

Wealth File #13: Rich people focus on their net worth. Poor people focus on their working income.

Wealth File #14: Rich people manage their money well. Poor people mismanage their money well.

Wealth File #15: Rich people have their money work hard for them. Poor people work hard for their money.

Wealth File #16: Rich people act in spite of fear. Poor people let fear stop them.

Wealth File #17: Rich people constantly learn and grow. Poor people think they already know.

To read each of these files and understand them fully, you may want to consider grabbing a copy of the book either in your library or through the bookstore. Also, it is important to completely follow T. Harv Eker’s definition of the rich and the poor people when reading these words.

As you finish this post, I would like to share with you how T. Harv Eker ends his wealth file page and he writes his wealth declaration (and I would like to do as well):

“Touch your head and say….I have a millionaire mind!”

And YOU do!

Helen Keller said, “Life is a daring adventure or nothing at all. (God forgive me for modifying her quote) I want to say “Life is either a daring game or nothing else.

Life is a Divine bliss of God to mankind. God gives us birth and handover the wonderful play ground to play the “Game of Life” for life time. In this play ground we find so many areas to play such as home (personal), office (professional) and society (personal and professional development). Here we all are assigned so many duties and responsibilities, which we have to play willingly and sometimes wilfully or forcefully. In this game of life, there are so many team-mates and so many opponents. We have to win the heart of our team mates and face the challenges of the opponent.

Each and every individual is free to choose his/her move and it depends on him/her how to play. The result depends on your sheer hard work. Every move is full of challenge and responsibilities, there is no second time. There are so many moves, ups and downs. There are so many hurdles and problems, if we face them with all our wit, we will be awarded with the advantage of happiness, peace, success and content. This game is interesting for some and restless for some. Player must have confident of his move and optimist towards the result then only he will win the game.

The result for this “Game of Life” is sweet for some and sour for some. Both of them believe that it’s the Destiny. We all are puppet in the hands of destiny and we must abide by it, but there are the players of the game, who throws the challenges to the Destiny and make their rules, plays and win the game as per desire. They dare to play the game and they come out as real winner. They make their own Destiny, thus they are called “Winner”.

By Buena Laoang

Let us take the lamp to the workplace. Let it stand for a worker’s field of expertise, or special talent, or his deeper purpose in life.

It being so- the worker takes his lamp everywhere he goes, to serve its share of light to the world, and to inspire the worker aflame in his existence.

The worker knows that without his lamp, he is without armor. If his lamp fails, he might not bear- for where he is might turn too dark, or too cold. He would need his lamp to provide the light in his direction, or the warmth in his heart, or the spark of hope he needs to keep his flame burning.

Therefore he has to see to it that his lamp does not run out of oil.

But what if the worker becomes too exhausted, or there is no means to get the oil, he might choose to endure the dim for a while. But he knows even when he goes to sleep, and in his dreams, that he has to restore his lamp with oil. Lest, the lamp, and himself, ceases to serve.

This week- ask yourself this, is your lamp still burning? Or did you notice it fails to give out the best flames lately? Does it still have ample oil? Do you have to replenish it with more?

For without oil- whatever you think that will stand for in your worker’s life, your lamp- your gift of service to humankind, will eventually cease burning.

Challenge: Replenish the oil in your lamp.

Which “oil” do you think you need now? Keep your beautiful purposes and wonderful existence ablaze by filling your lamp with that. And remember this- it is only YOU who can provide the best oil; for others will also be busy filling their own.

Unless they are ready to be helped there’s nothing anyone can do. Heighten your awareness to this by accepting help yourself.

Practise this and you’ll find how and where you are resistant to it, you’ll become aware of the signs and possibly the reasons why in some circumstances you don’t want help. From that standpoint you will more readily notice those signs in others. This will help you decide when to push and when to hold back.

Sometimes it’s those that need help the most that are the most resistant to it.

Take care!

Mama, you’re a Rockstar! And that is for real…

I may not say this on a regular basis, but yes you are a Rockstar!

Perhaps, my very own rockstar! You may not know that (because I keep it to myself) but actually, you have always been. I just could not find the right description for you. But, now that I am able to put together the right word, I want you to hear it. I want you to keep in your heart and in your mind that I admire you for many things you have shown us throughout these years; that you are my own Rockstar when it comes to these things:

Your strength:

Your love:

Your patience:

Your faith:

Your determination:

Your modesty:

Your beauty:

Despite all these years that I thought I did not need you anymore, I look back and I want to say to myself, “shame on me!”. I have been pretty much the stubborn, strong-willed and very much independent daughter that you always had! I have predisposed the fact that I still need you, my Mother! After all, no matter how old I am, no matter where I choose to go and whatever I decide to do for myself, I owe you my life!

For goodness sake, I may not have been here having a grand old’ time if not for you (and of course, Papa!). I may not be writing this piece if not for you. This is why, I would like to thank you for all the countless things you have done for me – not only because it is Mother’s Day but because it is the right thing to do as your daughter.

I know you told me before that no matter what/where or how I will be, you will always be there for me!

I know those words are true – and I am counting on you when you said that.

I know I can always fall back on you when I need help.

I know you will always forgive me when I would ever do something unimaginable (not that I will, or perhaps).

I know you will always accept me for the things I may have said to you.

I know you will be there…

Because you said so and because you are my mother!

You are the only one who can make that huge of an impact on me!

After all, isn’t that what’s Rockstars are all about? Being influential, admirable and extraordinary.

Mama, I adore you…not just because you are my rockstar but more importantly, you are my Mom!

I Love You Always!

Happy Mother’s Day to the best Mom in the world!

I want to let you know that it is okay to feel like you are giving up. That is natural. That is your way of reacting to a situation that is overwhelming you, and your state of mind at the moment. I want to make you be aware that I myself feel that emotion, have felt it and will expect to feel it again. But what I would want you to know is that, it is totally unacceptable to give up. Yes, it is good to recognize that you are at a low point in your life, but giving up? NO way!

When you give up, you will make yourself unavailable to greater opportunities.

When you give up, you will close doors that may possibly bring you more fortune.

And, when you give up – you are telling the world that you are weak.

And I know you are not!

We are all capable of challenging our limitations.

The video that you are about to watch is about Arthur Boorman, whose inspiring story tells us that despite people’s rejection and beliefs (which turned out to be completely wrong) YOU are who you determine yourself to be.

I want you to devote a few minutes of your time today and see how anything is possible; how giving up is really not an option.

Get ready –

Success is the output of an individual’s effort, hard work, dedication, sincerity, and experience put in for years together to achieve the desired goals.

Success is not easily attained; it is to be acquired by putting in the efforts of the years.

A success mantra: “Jack of all trades, master of SOME.” will possibly sum it up.

To be a successful person you have to be a jack of all trades and a master of some. An individual with who is multi-talented has the quality to recognize the opportunity and grab it at that moment.

Below are some of the qualities, in my opinion of what successful people have:

1. He must have some education required at a level within his desired field. He must have a great passion towards reading and ability to have an open mind.

2. He must have some confidence to face the situation: Even and Odd.

3. He must have a personality that mesmerizes anyone at any time.

4. He must have professionalism to a level where one must have thorough knowledge of the field where he is working.

5. He must have integrity towards work and work culture.

6. She must have knowledge of language which also plays an important role in success; Linguistic people have less interaction barriers.

7. She must be able to adapt to change easily.

8. She must be technologically savvy or at the very least inclined towards Information Technology and the use of social media as success tools.

9. She must be a positive person with an optimistic approach.

10. She should be an adorable person and a simple human being.

By Buena Laoang

It is good to be back! For the month of April, I missed sharing with everyone on this site, due to some personal matters, which I must say, are among those that matter most in my life.

Well, let me share it to you! As to how I spent April, the acronym would have been W-I-S-E.

W- Weeklong reflection. It was then the remembrance of the holy week, and thru the whole week I tried to be reminded of the life lessons the Lord has willed me to go through in each phase of my existence. I summed up being grateful, praising, and more in love with the Lord.

I-Inspired teaching. The second week I organized a class among age 10-12 pre-teens, on a refresher course cum motivation for high school life. It was indeed an invigorating event for me to teach again. It filled my heart with joy and made me remember my very blessing in life. Because of it, more books will also be acquired for a dreamed community library and learning resource center.

S- Satisfying relationships. The third week was devoted to satisfying the different relationships I have. I met with Alpha to chat personally when she had come home to the Philippines, and another best friend who arrived from Italy, and more from our hometown. Our family celebrated on our 8th wedding anniversary, the little story of which shared here last week. And then I joined a spiritual convention among women uphill, where I had the opportunity to work with energetic, very determined senior citizens in an evangelizing mission. In all these, what I realized is that, a person’s achievement can be measured in many ways- the possessions he gained, the degrees he attained, the fields he excelled at… but real life fulfillment- according to these same persons- can only be measured by how huge the heart has become because of the love that gets in!

E- Enjoying it all. And yes- just enjoying each experience that comes my way. God is the author of my life; He gives me freedom to act on my will, and opportunities to make His creations (including myself!) every day better. I shall just want to live according to Thy ways, and deal with every circumstance with a prayerful heart. I shall labor and eat the fruits of my labor. I shall give and sure to receive. I will just pray.

That’s how my WISE April has been spent, shared to you today. And this May, I am going to resume on the weekly challenges with the acronym, WORK.

Please, I invite you to get involved once again! I believe that in about more than 80 countries, May is fueled by a celebration of the International Workers’ Day, which is May 1. So, this month we will explore WORK.

And we have this first challenge this month- Work WITH a SMILE

Isn’t that an easy start?

Not only that a smile can gladden people who see you, lift their spirit, or leave a bit of inspiration on their part. Your smile will also keep YOU healthy, cool, glowing with beauty, and exuding warmth through the days!

Smile!

And when the soul becomes downcast, kneel down and pray, and believe me, after the spirit has rested its case with God, you’ll soon be enjoying your days with a smile.

PS. I will be asking our editor to empower this post more with that song, “With a Smile” by the Eraserheads, a famed band here in the Philippines. Or you can try this one on YouTube, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9cI0zaipQkE. I just wanted to share that song to you, and hope that you will all be touched by it and inspired, as much as it does to me every time.

Let’s get you thinking on your life.

Make a list of dreams that you have and post them on here.

Add why you think you can achieve them or why you think you can’t.
