Relationships

Human beings are indispensable part of the society. Put it this way, the world is woven with dots. These dots are people who make up the fabric of the eart. This society where we live is composed of relationships; we are related to each other in some ways other than one. We exist because of association and building relationships. Relationships are the basis of our existence.

Take a look around you and count who among the people you have talked to today are related to you. You’ve got a partner, a husband, a wife, a friend, a sister, a brother, a mom, a Dad, your neighbour, your classmate, your work mate, your classmate in high school or in college, your co-attendee to a workshop, your stock broker, your accountant, your child’s teacher, your…..we can go on and on.

And the reality is…we are connected in more ways than one.

You and me: I, being the writer and you, being the reader – for one.

There is the connection! There is the relationship. There is the start of another relationship.

And why are we interconnected? What are the benefits of being related in ways you may not think of?

Some of them are listed below:

1. Relationships give us strength.

2. Relationships motivate us.

3. Good relationships increase understanding.

4. Strong relationships create dependency and interdependency.

5. Healthy relationships create happiness.

So, whether you like it or not, you and I are somewhat related. But the key to it is to nurture it more, develop it and you will surely benefit from a mutual process of living in a great society.

End or Extend?

Photo of Ann Maureen Gualberto

Well- June is almost over! And this post concludes our JUNE challenges. Have a run:

JUST ACT!  Whatever it is you have to do to make you feel lighter,  JUST ACT on it!  Feel free.

UNEXPECTED  Has something “unexpected” happened recently?  How did you go about it? If it is for or against your favor- what simply did you learn?

NO, THANK YOU? What’s one word to describe your feelings about AMSDaily since that day you said yes to it?

And we will end up with a challenge that goes like this:

END or EXTEND?

Okay, you are going through something. Maybe it’s a pain or some sort of discontent you just want to end. Or a beautiful moment you want to just go on and on. Whatever it is, your time is up. You need to move on to the next.

We simply have to accept that there is an end to everything. So the hopeless can no longer feel so because, the despair ends and a brighter day still comes. The powerful (for instance), on the other hand, cannot abuse because, there comes a time his authority soon expires.

However, it is true that people choose to “extend” on whatever it is they are experiencing- or do you? How? The miserable extends being one, by not accepting reality and coming out to confront the situation head up. The achiever or satisfied extends on his moment of bliss, by trying to ignore reality and wanting to linger on in what’s supposed to be ‘no longer’ his comfort zone.

But, dear you, if that is the way one does it, do you think there’d be growth (or call that personal growth) on his part? Wouldn’t life be easier if one simply accepts an end and not wish to extend? Could it not be sweeter, or lighter, for anyone else too? Tell us what you think.

Love,

Buena

Be Your Own Celebrity

Who is a celebrity?

Do you want to be a celebrity? Do you want to stand out of the ordinary?

We all are awesome creations of  God. Our Life is divine bliss of God. God has created us and blessed us all with a body that has two hands, two legs, one head, one brain, one heart. God’s creation is the greatest in this universe and so are YOU.

A celebrity is as common as you are. Yes, YOU are!

However, my question is: why then are you chasing them, when you can become your own celebrity?

An ordinary person who has dreams and works hard to achieve it, can easily become a celebrity.

So, how can you transform yourself from a regular guy to somebody whom every individual this side of the planet goes gaga for?

One suggestion I have is: To Be your own Celebrity.

You have to first identify your strengths, then your limitations. Try to develop or acquire the quality/talent which fascinates you and try to improve yourself day by day. I would suggest making a daily challenge with yourself. Remember it’s only you who can transform a common man into somebody who is extraordnary. So, do it! Develop what you’ve got!

Another suggestion I have is: To Dream big. You have to set your priorities, and strive towards it. With consistent practice and effort, you know that one day you will find the Celebrity in you.

Lastly, I would like you to think through this quote.

“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.” – Albert Einstein.

Now, how would you like to be your own celebrity?

Unexpected

Just last weekend, the whole world witnessed an unexpected outcome of the Pacquiao-Bradley fight in boxing- well, at least a surprise for most boxing enthusiasts and fans.

Unexpected happenings, or constraints, or decisions like thateasily create shock, tension, sometimes bewilderment or doubt, or evenarguments amongst those who are affected. But whatever the turn of event is- that needs to be respected.

Unexpected. Surprise. Twist. However you call it- it happens. And though we will be caught unaware when it happens, wecertainly know we have to be ready anytime.

What is important is, you are able to confront gracefully what you did not expect. You take it calmly, maybe a little difficult to have it cheerfully if it is one against your favor but- you accept it, think about it, and good-naturedly react or go about it. If you are favored, humbly thank God for the opportunity.

Something unexpected tests your character. It’s something that doesn’t happen all the time, but something that makes you learn all the time.

CHALLENGE – Tell us about something “unexpected” that you had to deal with recently. How did you go about it? If it is for or against your favor- what simply did you learn?

Question of the Day:
Do you believe in making your own opportunities?
Or do you believe in letting them come to you?
