Take the opportunity today to just be still for five minutes – Uninterrupted!
This is something most of us don’t do at all let alone often enough. If we just spent 5 minutes being still and quiet at least once a day we would find it helps our stress levels which will help our health and well being. It would help us focus on the tasks in hand which will allow us to be more productive – which will relieve stress. It will help us be more creative and in that state of mind we find we can problem solve more readily – and guess what… that will relieve stress.
Try it, and once you get the hang of finding 5 minutes each day, you will start looking for the opportunity to do it 2 times, 3 times or many many times each day.
“When you improve a little each day, eventually big things occur. When you improve conditioning a little each day, eventually you have a big improvement in conditioning. Not tomorrow, not the next day, but eventually a big gain is made. Don’t look for the big, quick improvement. Seek the small improvement one day at a time. That’s the only way it happens—and when it happens, it lasts.” - by John Wooden, one of the most successful coaches in the history of college basketball.
