First date.  Mixed Martial Arts reality show.  First triathlon.  Job interview.  First day on the job.  The Olympics.  First book.  TV show pitch.  First open mic.  First baby.  Wedding.  Meditation.  Hanging a shingle.  Public speaking.  Dance competition.  Basketball tryouts.  First day of school.  Last day of school.  Final exams.  University application.  First time overseas.  First time on an airplane.  Patching up with a loved one.  First step.  Alcoholics Anonymous.  Counseling.  The gym.  The accountant.  First kiss.   First day back on the wagon.  Dance Recital.    Too young.  Too old.  Too fat.  Too skinny.  Too tired.  Not enough experience.  Too much experience.  Too tall.  Too short.  Not attractive.  Nothing to wear.  Bad hair style.  Disability.

Just show up! (And if you brought someone with you, don’t forget about them.)
